How To Make Your Clients Feel Important

by Jimmy on Apr.24, 2011, under Uncategorized

Many people realize that it is useful for their clients to feel important when they run their own business, but they do not realize that this is actually vital. After all, offering better service than your competitors offer is one of the best ways to ensure that your clients keep coming back to you in the long run. Once you learn these simple tips, you will be able to effortlessly make your clients feel important, and will thereby keep them coming back to you over and over again.

Empowering your clients is one of the best ways to make them feel important – and by giving them constant access to information, you can make this happen. When you build your website, focus on more than just making it look snazzy; you should also make sure that you have an FAQ section that answers the questions they might be coming to ask. The more complete and accessible you are able to make your website, the more you will provide your clients with a useful tool.

Getting more customers and clients!

Also – instead of making your clients come to you for updates – you should go to your clients with updates! The best way to do this is to know where you can find your clients online, using such places as Twitter, LinkedIn, and facebook. Also, you can give your clients the option of signing up for an email list that will bring them updates as these updates emerge.

You will always want to make your best effort to return to your clients as quickly and completely as possible when they come to you with a question. Vague answers are never very useful for your clients, and they will also not want to wait several days before they get an answer from you. Set aside a certain time of day during which you will return emails, and make sure the emails you send are complete and useful.

How To Find New Clients And Business

Finally, you should make sure you treat your clients the way you yourself would want to be treated. By adding this final element to the other elements, you can make sure your clients remain loyal to you, as they will know that you are remaining loyal to them.

Selling Your Business To Customers

by Jimmy on Apr.23, 2011, under Uncategorized

If you work in business – and especially if you own your own small business – you understand the importance of sales. But while many people think of sales as “selling your product,” there is actually a part of sales that is even more important than your product. Anyone who wants to be successful in business needs to also understand how to sell their business to customers.

For any small business, there will be certain areas where they are unable to compete with the “big boys,” no matter how hard they might try. You will have a tough time offering a larger selection than they offer, and you will probably not be able to undersell them. But one thing you can do is give your customers a great shopping experience, which is something in which the big places will have a tough time competing with you.

The Instant Profit Multiplier For Any Small Business.

For your small business to thrive, you cannot be in it simply for the money; you must also be in it because you love what you are doing! You will easily be able to treat your customers the way they want to be treated if you feel this way about your business. This will enable you to sell your business to your customers – convincing them to come to you again and again simply by the way you treat them!

Small Business Services.

When it comes to treating your customers well to sell your business to them, there are several things you can do, but one of the biggest things you can do is find out what they want. You should do your best to ask customers questions, and you should make it easy for them to voice their thoughts and opinions. You should also make shopping with you or using your service an “experience” for your customers, so that they are doing more than simply shopping when they come to you. And of course, one thing you can do that the big boys cannot (even if they pretend they can!) is truly believe that the customer is always right!

It will be easy for you to sell your business to your customers if you love what you are doing; all you have to do is make them love shopping with you as much as you love helping them shop with you!

Set Ground Rules In Order To Resolve Conflicts In Your Business

by Jimmy on Apr.22, 2011, under Uncategorized

One thing that can dismantle your business more quickly than anything is unsolved, incessant, internal conflicts. Although you cannot be in the middle of every conflict as it happens (nor do you want to be!), you can have ground rules in place for resolving conflicts. Having such ground rules is of the utmost importance, as it enables your employees to solve their disputes in a calm manner with as little mess as possible!

One of the first things you want to do, in setting the ground rules for resolving conflicts, is to make sure that the processes are detailed and documented. When it comes to employee conflicts, your ultimate goal is for the employees to be able to police themselves and resolve the conflicts on their own. If there is no documentation for your ground rules, employees will not know whether they are following protocol when resolving conflicts.

When it comes to communication in your business, it is important that the atmosphere is conducive to open communication, and you will need to take a personal hand in creating such an environment. Communication should always start from the top and work its way down, which means that your employees should feel comfortable communicating with you because of the way in which you communicate with them! When you establish an environment in which employees feel comfortable communicating with you and their other managers, they will also feel comfortable communicating with one another.

Of course, should there be a conflict that the employees are unable to work out on their own, it is important that you have a step in place that enables you or a manager to step in and mediate. In this way, you can ensure that you still have a clear view of everything that is going on in your business, and will be able to keep things under control.

Few things can derail a small business as quickly as conflicts among the employees. When you learn how to set the ground rules to enable employees to take care of their conflicts on their own as often as possible, you will help your business run much more smoothly!

Keep Your Customers Coming Back For More

by Jimmy on Apr.21, 2011, under Uncategorized

If you are in business, you have certainly come to understand how important it is to keep the customers you already have. After all, 80% of your business comes from 20% of your customers – and no matter how many times you have heard that, it is always worth hearing again! This means that it is extremely important to keep this “20%” happy enough that they keep coming back for more, and it is important to convert new customers into repeat users!

One of the big ways in which businesses fail is by focusing too much on gaining new customers rather than focusing more on the customers they already have. New customers should not be your first priority, because – although new customers are important – they are not your main source of profit.

There are plenty of ways to keep your repeat customers happy, but finding out what they have to say is one of the best ways to keep them coming back! As you get to know your customers, you will also get to know their opinions regarding the things you are doing with your business. If lots of customers like a certain aspect of your business, that aspect is in good shape; if a lot of them voice displeasure over an aspect, it is time to consider change. A lot of large businesses avoid this step, thinking that it is impossible to get to know customers; and while this is true when it comes to getting to know them “individually,” there are still such ways as customer surveys, customer service, and online response forms that will allow you to get to know what your customers are thinking.

You can begin to go after new customers once you have made sure that you have built a foundation for keeping your current customers happy. This is where advertising comes in handy, but the best way to keep these customers once they come to you is by creating loyalty! This is easy for small companies, as – again – you can get to know your customers as individuals, and your business will continue to grow! And large companies can ensure that new customers will keep coming back if they create a sense of community and of familiarity.

It is not difficult to make your business fail; but if you learn how to keep your customers coming back, it is also not difficult to succeed!

Sales Pitches That Work

by Jimmy on Apr.20, 2011, under Uncategorized

Let’s say you’ve decided to launch an email campaign or start making cold calls, but you’re new to writing your own sales pitch scripts. Aside from hiring a marketing service, you can craft your own sales pitches by following these simple guidelines: First impressions are everything in sales; you’ve probably got about three seconds to convince your potential client that you are worth their time and consideration. If you are making cold calls, be sure to be ready to speak the second they answer the phone. If you are preparing a written sales pitch, check your spelling and punctuation and use a professional sales copy template.

Personalize. Pay attention to cues as to who your customer is and what he or she may need. Don’t use automated phone sales services; the pause gives the customer the feeling that he or she is just one more sales call, which makes most people hang up before you even get to speak. Use a sincere tone and ask questions regarding what the customer needs. Offer solutions that will truly benefit that specific customer.

Don’t beat around the bush. Respect the value of your customer’s time. You need to show your value immediately, so you’ll want to cut your sales script down to bare bones so you deliver pure value, right away. Be concise and clear. Put off discussing details until you are deeper in the sales process.

Preserve your customer’s dignity by softening the pitch. Soft sales—emphasizing the establishment of a personal relationship and the practical benefits received by the potential customer—work best. Do anything you can to avoid sounding like a schmaltzy used car salesman.

Be sure to provide adequate order and contact information. Be sure to provide simple contact and order information. When making cold calls, ask for essential contact information upfront and offer to send information via multiple mediums so they have an electronic copy (email) if they lose a printed (and mailed) piece, and vice versa, just in case they are old school and aren’t so technically savvy.

Hopefully you’ll now be equipped to craft your own effective sales pitches.

Writing Good Copy

by Jimmy on Apr.19, 2011, under Uncategorized

One of the big aspects of any business that will contribute to its success is its ability to write good copy. Copywriting is so important because it covers almost all the writing your business will do – everything from the writing on your website to your billboards to your ads in magazines. When it comes down to it, the main reason it is so important for you to know how to get good copy is because copywriting is what will drive your business forward.

Of course, the most effective way to ensure that you have good copy for your company is to hire someone who is a professional copywriter. If you have full-time copywriting needs, you can hire someone to take on this job; and if you only need copy here and there, you can hire a professional freelance copywriter. But many companies choose to go it alone when it comes to writing copy – and if this is the case for you, you need to know the tricks!

Get inside the brains of the best copywriters in the world!

One of the big tricks of making sure you are writing copy that will be successful is to make sure the language you use in your copy is appealing. Too many people become too formal when they are writing copy, and this dilutes the effectiveness of the copy in question. Always use words that are easy to grasp and understand; the best way to do this is to always state things in the simplest manner.

Of course, you need to always make sure you know exactly what you are trying to state, in order to be able to state it in a simple manner. You need to establish a clear and concrete purpose and message with each individual piece of copy; otherwise, those who read it will never know what the purpose and message are!

The Best Copywriting System On The Internet!

And of course, the most important thing of all is that you learn how to use words in such a way that they “pop” and “fizz” inside the reader’s brain. Once you put all these elements together, you will be able to write copy that effectively grabs the reader, and that subsequently moves your company forward.

Studying To Advance In Business

by Jimmy on Apr.18, 2011, under Uncategorized

Lots of people think that “knowing the right people” or “just getting lucky” are the only ways to get the promotion or the raise they feel they deserve. While there is a small sliver of luck when it comes to advancing in business, however, most people give this sliver far more credit than it deserves! The mistake many people make in business actually has nothing to do with luck; it is simply a misstep of failing to be prepared to take advantage of (or to even recognize!) their opportunity when it arises. If you are a small business owner, an employee at a large corporation, or even a manager who is hoping to move up higher in the ranks, you must come to understand the value of studying to advance in business.

Understanding what your competitors are doing is the best way for you to study if you are a small business owner. This does not just mean that you should understand what they are doing wrong, either; take a good look at your strongest competitor and figure out what they do right!

For employees at large corporations, the struggle can be the fact that it often seems like it is impossible to get noticed. After all, there are so many other employees just like you, and it can seem completely random whether an employee’s hard work gets noticed or not. It can seem like your study and hard work are getting you nowhere, and it can be easy to stop trying so hard. But remember: In time, your opportunity will come, as the law of averages dictates this; if you continue to work hard and advance in knowledge and expertise, you will be prepared to seize your opportunity when it comes along.

It is very easy for managers to sit back and forget that there is still more to accomplish. But for a manager, they must remember that study is important, as they are not only responsible for their own selves, but also for those in their charge!

Take thirty minutes each day to study a bit more about your business and the business around you, and you will be pleased with the growth of your knowledge and with your ability to seize your opportunity.

Study Before Investing

by Jimmy on Apr.17, 2011, under Uncategorized

With the introduction of such websites as eTrade and ScotTrade, it has become commonplace for people to invest on their own, making their own decisions. The good thing about this is that an investor can make money without sharing it with a broker; the bad thing about this is that these investors often go broke. One of the big mistakes a lot of people make is that they make big investing decisions without doing any big research first. As with anything that you plan to take seriously, research is important; and as this is dealing with your financial future, research is even more important!

One of the first things for you to recognize is that investing is not as easy as picking a stock that is doing well and investing. After all, this would require no skill at all, and anyone could make a fortune through investing if it were that easy. Instead, the key is systematic research; it is important to keep in mind that the fluctuations of the stock market are largely dependent upon the fact that people are reactionary. Most solo investors tend to invest in stocks when they are near their peak and sell when they are near the bottom, due to their reactionary nature.

There are many resources that can help you to be a wise investor instead of reacting to everything the market does. Of course, the best place to go for consistent investing advice and information is the “Wall Street Journal,” but you should look other places as well. You can learn a lot that will be hugely beneficial to your future investments by subscribing to such magazines as “Money” and “Fortune”; you also should take the time to look at some of the great investment books out there, such as Benjamin Graham’s “The Intelligent Investor” and Warren Buffett’s “The Essays of Warren Buffett.” You can also take the opportunity to wear The Glasses of Warren Buffett and see the world of investing the way he sees it!

After you pick a few resources that seem right for you – making sure that these resources are well-respected and will lead you in the right direction – you will be ready to study, and study, and study!

How To Collect Your Thoughts When You Are Stuck On A Project

by Jimmy on Apr.16, 2011, under Uncategorized

Regardless of whether you are working on a project for work or just for fun, it can be very easy to end up getting “stuck.” And many people end up getting more and more frustrated when they get stuck, as they push so hard that they are unable to get unstuck. A better approach than “pushing” – regardless of whether it is a work project you are stuck on, a creative project, or just something for fun – is to find a way to ease out of the rut. And simply collecting your thoughts is often the best way to ease yourself out of one of these ruts.

It is important that you find the way that works best for you to collect your thoughts, as different methods work well for different people. For instance, if you are working on a project team some people find that brainstorming helps them get out of a rut. If you find that this is the case for you, make sure it is also the case for the others on your project team. If it is, you can sit around and brainstorm together without the pressure of you having to push out of the rut on your own.

Other people find that simply going out for a little walk is the best way for them to collect their thoughts. These people find that they can sort through their ideas and organize their thoughts when they are able to get outside for a bit or simply get away from their desk. By the time these people return to their desk, they have a new perspective and are ready to attack the project again.

And as strange as it might seem, simply not thinking about the problem at all tends to be one of the best ways for people to get themselves out of a rut. Many people find that when they finally stop thinking about a project – forcing themselves to move onto other things – the breakthrough will come!

There is nothing wrong with getting stuck on a project – after all, it happens to everyone; the main thing is not whether you get stuck, but is knowing the best way for you to get unstuck!

Tips For Getting Started With Online Investing

by Jimmy on Apr.15, 2011, under Uncategorized

If you are wanting to get started with online investing, you might be a seasoned investor trying something new, or you might be a new investor wading into the waters of the stock market for the very first time. Regardless of which of these two categories you fall into, the place where you will start with your online investing is likely to be the same – and if you follow this guide, you will know what you need to do in order to get started with online investing!

There are a lot of different online investing firms out there, and you will need to compare all of these – looking at the commissions they charge, the tools they offer, and the reviews they have had from customers – to find which of these you feel most comfortable with. For the most part, you are likely to get more in the way of investing tools and expert advice when you use a service that has a higher commission, but there are actually a few that are among the most highly-rated and have among the lowest commissions!

After you have picked the brokerage firm you want to do your investing with, you will need to fill out an application on their website. This application will be a simple process, as it will just be your basic information.

Global Investment Strategies!

Once you take these steps, you will be ready to decide how much you want to start out with for your initial wave of investing; each of these brokerages will have a different minimum that you must invest, but you will be in the best shape if you use more than this minimum.

Finally, you will be ready to start doing research - which is the most important step of all when it comes to investing, as you are unlikely to be successful with your investing if you have not done your research. And of course, after the research comes the investing – and if you invest well, it will also be time to enjoy your profits!
