About Me
I’m originally a medical microbiologist but came to work on the internet via long an winding path of coincidences and mistakes.
After a few jobs in sales, I created my first website back in around 1998 (it was terrible!) but I got my first order for over $1000 within a week. I guess I instinctively did a few things right 
but since then I have studied just about everything I could get my hands on regarding internet marketing, email marketing, search engine optimization, PPC, copy writing, traffic generation, affiliate marketing, landing page optimization, conversion tactics, and God only knows what else. I estimate I have spent close on half a million rand on my knowledge and online skilz!
Anyway, I have a couple of pretty successful websites in some pretty diverse niches and I am also employed full-time as a search engine optimizer and online marketing specialist by Altech Technology Concepts. So why would I accept a full time wage slave position if I am doing that well with my own sites? er….it’s a strange story – I might do a post about it sometime.
The reason I am creating this site is as a bit of a brain dump for a few friends, but it’s open to anybody so feel free to post your comments, voice your opinions and ask any questions. I’m not a professional writer and so I may not be entirely clear in my writing the first time around so please feel free to ask for clarification.

I actually remember when I created my first website as well. It was a late night around the year 2001. It was amazing, and I just had finished reading a couple of tutorials on creating an HTML website. Those were the days, where PHP nor Javascript where put into FULL function by average everyday users. It’s amazing how websites have changed. Now, I constantly have to update my website, and create constant PHP updates or my website is infiltrated by ridiculous hackers.
